The soul of technology aims at bettering the meaning of life. Extending it towards all walks of life makes it even worthier!
Existing proudly as a centre of technical education at Kollam, the land well known for its highly established fisheries sector, TKM College of Engineering owes an obligation towards this speck of life. Adding technical inputs into this area is a need of the hour as conservation of aquatic life and safety of fisher folk has become a major concern.

In that regard a first of it’s kind event, FISCHACKEN will be hosted by IEEE SIGHT OU, TKMCE as part of Sukrita 2017 organised by STEPS TKMCE on 28th October 2017.

The event will focus on development and implementation of technology that will improve the safety of fishermen, long range communication, tracking of boats and fishermen, etc.

Event Details:

Participants are required to submit an abstract of their project idea on or before 20th October 2017.
The selected participants are required to be present with models and reports for the same(a prototype preferably). Stalls will be provided to exhibit their ideas in the venue.
The best of all the entries will be awarded cash prizes and will be implemented with the aid of the Kerala Government.
